New year, new start

Welcome to the first editorial of 2018, and a happy New Year to all of you gorgeous people. Let’s take a look back at what happened in December as well as find out what’s coming up this month.

Personal backstory:

Christmas is generally a crazy time of year for most people and being a step-parent family comes with its own set of challenges. Sadly my other-half and I weren’t able to see my stepson on the big day or Boxing Day last month but we certainly made up for it: our families got together for a very merry ‘not-Christmas’ and clubbed together to get Ethan a very special present… more about that in a post soon.

Time off for the holidays meant that we were able to get in more gaming than we’d be able to usually, so my addiction to The Elder Scrolls Online was fed by creating a new Breton Templar character. We also managed to bag ourselves tickets to see The Twilight Zone at the Almeida Theatre in London; if you have the opportunity to go I’d highly recommend doing so, because it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in ages.

The grind:

Broken Sword 3, The Serpent's Curse, video game, box art, man, woman, Nico, George          Grand Theft Auto, V, title, box art, video game     Milkmaid of the Milky Way, video game, box art, woman, girl, spaceship, face     Overcooked, video game, box art, chefs, world, tomato     The Assembly, video game, box art, faces, man, woman, silhouette     The Elder Scrolls Online, video game, box art     The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, video game, box art, skull     The Sexy Brutale, video game, box art, masks     Undertale, video game, box art, Toriel, boy, girl

Community:

December was full of celebrations including the excellent Charming and Open hosted by Ian over at Adventure Rules, along with our very own Creative Christmas collaboration and winter blog party. I love events like these because they’re a great way of bringing the community together and meeting new bloggers. Hopefully there’ll be a few more throughout 2018, and I’d love to see you at our next party on 12 March 2018 if all goes according to plan.

      1. It’s just a shame the festive season is over already! But I’m looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and reading everybody’s posts this month. 😀
