#BloggerTalk: 05 March 2020
#BloggerTalk takes place over on Twitter from 21:00 to 22:00 GMT on Thursdays. Each week, everyone is invited to give their thoughts on a specific question connected to blogging, writing and the community so we can all learn from each other’s knowledge and experience.
For more information about how #BloggerTalk came to be and its aims, check out this post and feel free to get in touch. Without further ado, let’s take a look at today’s question and get the conversation going:
Tell us your origin story and how your blog came to be.
If you’re a long-time blogger, perhaps you’d be willing to share some of your experience and help guide those who are new. And if you’ve just joined the community, welcome – you’re part of one of the best and most supportive groups out there. I look forward to seeing you on Twitter for #BloggerTalk.

Sorry, I missed this yesterday on Twitter. Not much to say about my origin story, I just love video games and talking about them. So I decided a blog was something I could actually do, rather than something like games journalist or streamer. 🎮❤️

Hey, that’s a great origin story! People who love video games and decide to blog about them are the best kind of people. 😉

I missed this (by a large margin LOL), but my blog came about because I got deep into boardgaming and I decided that I wanted to share my thoughts on the whole thing.
I had blogged about video games on the “user” blogs on the Game Informer web site and I really enjoyed it.
So since I now had developed a passion for board games, I decided to start another blog on my own.

It’s interesting to see so many people started out on forums and other platforms, then moved over to WordPress. I love how many great bloggers there are here!
