I wishlisted The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo after playing the demo in June 2022.
It would have been impossible to miss in the Steam Next Fest line-up for adventure game fans like me. With amazing artwork by Nacho Rodríguez, Gammera Nest’s project stood out thanks to its imaginatively surreal world and the ten-minute slice provided was enough to hook me in.
I have fond memories of playing Myst for the first time.
I was introduced to it shortly after its release in September 1993 by someone I went to school with. They’d gotten stuck at a particular point early on in the game and asked if I could come over one evening to see if we could figure out what to do next, knowing I liked the adventure genre.
Do you ever wish you could go back to being a child again?
To those days where you had nothing to worry about except whether you’d done your homework and if you’d be allowed out to play. Where your imagination enabled you to turn even the most mundane of situations into an adventure filled with wonder and excitement.
